How to Lose 5 Pounds in a Week

Shift Your Calories

If you want to get skinnier the week you decide to lose 5 pounds, you are going to have to adjust a couple things. The first step is to shift calories in your daily eating habits. Space out your meals so that you're eating at least 4 instead of 3. Now, the thing to do with those meals is reduce them evenly. Your body will increase its metabolism by increasing meals and reducing portions so that you burn a lot more calories naturally. Then avoid salt and sodium as much as possible to stop water retainage. To flush out your system of your water weight that week increase your water intake by 2 glasses a day. Minimally changing your diet in that fashion will at least lose you 2-3 pounds or more.

Three day activity

Now that your have shifted your diet you need to shave off the rest of those 2 or 3 pounds with just a little bit of exercise. During the week decide on a medium impact activity for three days out of the week. An example of a medium impact activity is jumping rope or playing a sport for 10-30 minutes. Your selected exercise does not have to be jump rope but be sure to pick something that you can do for ten minutes and cause you to sweat.

The Last Bit

Most everyone, when they make a change in diet, start to have extra cravings. To prevent those urges, the best thing to do is drink water. Drinking water when you feel the urge to snack will kill cravings and keep you on track with your goal. When the week is over you should be 5 pounds lighter.
